Lovely place, very friendly!! Clean and tidy! There are lodges that cater for families, couples of groups of friends. There is a gym, Nordic hot rub, nail bar and fabulous restaurant! My only criticism is there was not enough breakfast to cater for all guests.less

We stayed as a family of 6 in the Pocklington deluxe lodge from Monday - Friday including Halloween. Plus points first… the lodge was furnished to a modern standard. Spacious and very clean. Lovely peaceful location, staff friendly and helpful. Master bedroom with huge double walk in shower and a bath tub and views overlooking the golf course. Hot tub great albeit a little too hot at times and could have done to have offered a little more privacy than it did. Comfy beds and spacious bedrooms all with en-suite showers. Cons. The WiFi!! As a couple with 4 children aged 11,14,15,15, we spent 2 of the nights extremely reliant on watching some spooky horror films through our Amazon fire stick. Halloween night, we were all settled in with decorated lodge, lights out, blankets snuggled up & snacks ready to find that the film just spooled, over & over …. Was so frustrating and spoilt the evening. Such a shame. On a similar note, the seating area is not big enough to accommodate our party. There’s no way that 6 adults could sit on the L shaped leather sofa. My partner and I had to sit all evening on the dining room chairs… backs were a little sore each morning after!! Finally, again on a similar theme… I’ve never seen a grill so tiny in an oven! Trying to cook bacon, sausage etc in a morning for 6, took an age due to there being insufficient space to cook it all at once. If the above could be improved upon then the stay would have been perfect.less

Just back from a week stay,we booked york lodge, not deluxe as read only difference was every room had tv and deluxe had bigger decking area. What sold us was the views of the golf course and the size of the lodge itself. We got lodge 10,when we arrived, was starting to get dark so couldn't see till next morning. Straight away we noticed damage to dining table, carpets, fridge door no closing as damaged hinges, the tv cabinet had damaged to 1 side and they just screwed it shut, the fans in the bathroom didn't work so when we had a shower which was at least twice a day,was like a sauna in the bedroom, upstairs was worse, never has the heating on at all but didn't have much sleep, tried leaving the windows open but u would hear/see the black flies coming in. Regards to the views, didn't have any, upstairs in the bedroom could catch the edge of the golf course which was no good as we spend most time downstairs, next to buckets and got woken up about 6am 3 times we were there with the trucks reversing back and forward trying to empty the bins, was suppose to be a relaxing holiday but certainly didn't feel that way,the couple days we had good weather,we were sitting on decking enjoying.weather but we coulding relax with cleaners driving past us in the golf buggies or staff with the petrol blowers getting rid of leaves. If u check photos of york lodge in hoseasons, that's what we were expecting, but we ended up with a lodge with no views also needed a lot of repairs. Good points is gyms free for guests, golf club did good meals but defo be looking elsewhere for my future break. There was nicer lodges further round the corner lodges number 20+ and not in a forest. Had a nice lodge in Scarborough last time and probably go back thereless

Booked a table for 6 adults, room very nicely done out, drinks prices very reasonable, food was excellent and plentiful, the show its self was fantastic very good entertainment, he involved all the audience and didn’t make anyone feel uncomfortable. Now the complaint doors opened at 7 pm which was fine, however we had booked a return taxi for 11.15 pm no where did it advise you that the bar closed at 10.15pm so a lot of people were left without a drink, if we had know this we would have bought extra on our last order , a lot of discussion with the bar supervisor Charlotte who was very good and very hospitable we managed to get served a last drink, I think if you are going to host these type of events you need to make your guests more aware of your closing times, could understand if it was a Sunday night, but not a Friday, one of our party when booking the tickets was told the bar closed at 11pm not 10.15 hence why we booked the taxi for 11.15pm. Well done Charlotte. Take not kilnwick Percy when organising further events .less
Totally enjoyed our 4 night stay at this resort, the lodge was the pocklington deluxe, very spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was maintained daily, and the temperature was perfect not too hot, just warm enough to chill ???? I’d definitely recommend the bar and the Glasshouse for a visit, very relaxing environment, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Just like to finish off by saying me and the wife will definitely be back ????less
